Art Director

Chowbotics is looking for an inspiring Art Director to drive the development of our design projects and deliver world-class results. You’ll work collaboratively with our team to conceptualize and execute beautiful designs that delight our clients and their customers. This exciting and demanding role puts you at the forefront of a highly creative marketing and branding effort. Candidates must be experienced in visual, web, branding, marketing, and experiential design.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and execute the entire design process for all creative assets: print, web, mobile, and videography / photography. This process includes goal setting, concept design, testing, and final execution.
  • Ensure all design projects adhere to our current brand identity and further evolve our design language with new product launches.
  • Be a storyteller via concepts, design, illustration, and photography / videography.
  • Combine innovative, out-of-the-box thinking and critical analysis to implement design solutions that balance business objectives with user needs.
  • Collaborate with product teams to shape roadmaps, define opportunities, develop concepts, and bring to life ideas that continuously improve the product.
  • Work closely with the Product Designers to implement a cohesive visual style, voice, and tone, thinking about each project holistically and how it fits in the entire brand ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Culinary and Customer Success teams to develop exciting campaigns.
  • Deliver content that’s delightful, beautiful, and clear and with a high level of finish and polish.
  • Seek out creative opportunities to improve on existing style and approach.

    REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience as Art Director at a creative agency or in-house focused on brand, marketing, and product experience.
  • Possess excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex, sometimes abstract, concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to collaborate, multitask, and quickly shift focus to meet deadlines on multiple design projects.
  • Experience coordinating, directing, and guiding the work of other designers.
  • Ability to take feedback and incorporate it quickly.
  • Possess an intense curiosity about the world and a desire to understand the why and how before the what.
  • A portfolio that exhibits strong conceptual ability, composition and color, and pixel-perfect attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of photography/video principles related to branding, publishing, and digital product design.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Knowledge in product design is preferred.
